Review of Confessor by Terry Goodkind

First of all I would just like to say wow! I am a big fan of epic fantasy, and have read nearly all the big ones, and have followed several of these to the end, and I have to say that Mr. Goodkind does a great job with tying everything together in the end. I won’t spoil anything for anyone, but some of the great things in this book are the new details about Ja La. You really get an insight into the game and how Richard and his team begin to play differently. Gratch is in this one! All the important characters, and we even get a confrontation between Six and Shota!

This was a great ending to an awesome series. I have to say though that when I finish on of these series that takes 10+ years to complete, I always find myself feeling melancholy. I develop a huge affinity for the characters, they almost become real. To me, that more than anything is the sign of a great writer. I salute you Mr. Goodkind, and hope you will continue to write more great works of art in the future.

I just want a small sequel, kind of the debt of bones style only to credit the end of the series instead of the beginning, that shows Zedd and Richard going to the Temple of the Winds… and Richard explaining what else he did while the portal was opened, that he never finished explaining to Zedd. IT’S KILLING ME!!! hehe

Wonderfully done. Terry Goodkind wraps this up perfectly. Terry Goodkind is a master right up there with Terry Brooks and Tolkien.

Goodkind took forever to get to the climax. I thought there was going to be another book because nothing was happening. And then all of the sudden, within like 10 pages, it all comes to end. No final battle with Jagang, no final war scene, just over. And plus Richard never hooked up with Nicci! whats up with that?

are you all mad??, I, like everyone else, spent 10 years following this series, loved the first 3-4 books, then everything went downhill when Goodkind seemed to run out of decent ideas..Confessor was written badly, it made me cringe with truly awfully laughable dialogue, and a crap ending..what a let down
